You know what’s frustrating? Drafts. The seemingly unending revisions and reworks and reruns. Had I not been the voice of a tech company (it’s really cool to believe that), I’d say writers would know what I mean. Thankfully, now with utter joy and relief, I can say that it’s the same for all.
Software engineers, designers, even the HR lady who incessantly and fiercely edits, oscillating between being nice and being firm.

No, it’s not sadism. It’s just good to know that everyone suffers.

So coming back to revisions and reworks and redesigns and everything else that comes in that family, yes, they are not easy and yet that’s what makes the final version perfect.

We at Newzera have a similar bunch of values that we keep close to our hearts; Learn. Unlearn. Relearn.

Since the very beginning we were told to Learn. Learn new things. Learn the old ways. Learn for marks. Learn for jobs. Learn to later make your kids learn.

But we were never really told that sometimes what we need is to Unlearn so we can relearn and just come out of the loop. That there is no prophecy and no master who will come to us to show our potential. It’s through our own little failures or let’s be gentler and call them glitches, that we’ll rise.

So maybe it’s time to introduce the concept of unlearn a little more vocally. It’s true no knowledge goes to waste. But it’s also true that sometimes to make space for new things, we ought to part ways with the depreciated.

No, we are not being preachy. It’s something over which we have first hand experience. Fact is, we are still learning, unlearning and relearning. Every day. From our coders to designers or news curators to copywriters, we are on a constant move. Embracing the new normal, reaching for the spectacular, we are Relearning.
