News Influencers have successfully decoded that way to provide bite-sized facts that matter in a better, more conversational way. These influencers, being part of the crowd, can relate to the masses and their needs on a more personal level — presenting a new approach to news and information.
And the fact, as we reutter, that they are one of us is what makes them more trustworthy and influential, for real!
So can I be a News Influencer too?
Absolutely.
It is the best part of this profession. Anyone can pursue it. You do not have to spend years in college earning a degree to be an influencer. From school-going teenagers to college dropouts — it is a one-size-fits-all profession!
News influencers do not adhere to any rules or code of conduct, unlike professional journalists. They are the masters of their own kin, literally! As long as you are influential enough to spread your knowledge and feel capable of being your own boss, you can absolutely become one!
Without a code of conduct, news influencers are not bound by journalistic ethics. The credibility of their word is completely dependent on their integrity and righteousness.
(And as it is not a fairy tale, there is no wise-old man or an enchantress to judge that for you.)
The fact that anyone can be a News Influencer casts doubt on the predictability of the same. It is rare for such influencers to acquire an understanding of news similar to that of a real journalist.
Thousands of followers on social media cannot negate the fact that a formal education in journalism can make you more trustworthy when it comes to facts and truth.
